China's GDP grew by 6.9 percent year on year in the first half, according to data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In the second quarter, China's GDP held steady, posting a rise of 6.9 percent year-on-year, flat from the first quarter and slightly higher than the previous market expectation of 6.8 percent.
